Garden Path

A narrow path winds through the historic garden, among ferns, bromeliads, and mature trees. Bolívar walked and spent time in these grounds during his stays here in the 1820s, using the country estate as a retreat from political and military life. The garden was later restored to evoke its 19th-c. character, preserving the sense of the landscape he knew.
