Evening at the Primatial Cathedral
Bathed in golden dusk, Bogotá’s Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception rises above Plaza de Bolívar with its twin towers and balanced neoclassical design (completed 1823). Beside it stands the Archbishop’s Palace and the domed Chapel of El Sagrario. Together, these structures reflect the Catholic Church’s enduring role in shaping Colombia’s civic and spiritual core.
