These architectural fragments from Carthage (2nd c. AD), belonged to a grand Roman public building. The ornate Corinthian capitals and fluted shafts reflect the imperial taste for classical Greek forms. Once symbols of civic power and cultural prestige, they now rest among wild flora, marking the layered legacy of Rome in North Africa.
