This pink marble column (1st–2nd cc.) belonged to the Roman Capitol of Carthage—once the city’s most important temple, dedicated to Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva. Its refined material and scale symbolized Roman authority, civic pride, and the transformation of Carthage into a model imperial city.
