Atlas Supporting the Heavens

This Roman sculpture from Carthage (2nd–3rd c.) features a youthful Atlas bearing a weight above him. Likely part of a decorative column, the motif draws from Greek mythology, where Atlas supports the sky, symbolizing endurance and cosmic order.
