This Roman mosaic (2nd–4th cc.) features a delicately rendered bird beside blooming foliage. Such domestic floor decorations symbolized abundance, beauty, and harmony with nature. The use of naturalistic detail and colored tesserae reflects the refined taste and cultural sophistication of Roman North Africa.
