Max with Gary at Court of Honour
This vast cobbled forecourt, known as the Cour d’Honneur, forms the dramatic entry to the Palace of Versailles. Flanked by the North and South Wings and facing the equestrian 19th-c. statue of Louis XIV, the space was designed to awe visitors with the grandeur of royal absolutism. Its open symmetry reflects the classical ideals of power, order, and control.
