Gran Nicoya Tripod Vessel with Rabbit
This ceramic tripod vessel (1000–1350) represents a rabbit adorned with a feathered collar and geometric body patterns, possibly a ritual costume. The upper band shows plumed profile figures. In Gran Nicoya belief, the rabbit was linked to lunar worship, symbolizing fertility, night, and cyclical renewal.
