Funerary Mask of Tutankhamun
This golden funerary mask (c.1323 BC) crowned the mummy of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Inlaid with glass and semiprecious stones, it presents the pharaoh as a divine being. The cobra and vulture on his brow symbolize rule over Lower and Upper Egypt, affirming his eternal sovereignty and divine protection in the afterlife.
