Rooster-Shaped Wine Tap Keys

These ornate brass keys (16–17th cc.) were used to unlock or control wine taps in cellars. The rooster design, a symbol of vigilance and festivity, added decorative flair to practical tools used in Riga’s wine storage and ceremonial drinking culture.
