Twin Columbarium Tombs
These paired funerary structures (1st c. AD) from the Via Ostiensis necropolis share an identical plan: an open vestibule leading to a covered chamber lined with niches for urns. Designed for cremated remains, they included spaces for funerary banquets. One tomb later housed an inhumation, revealing shifts in Roman burial practices across time.
