Grenoble Cityscape with Mountain Views
Nestled at the confluence of the Isère and Drac rivers, Grenoble has been called the Capital of the Alps . Surrounded by peaks of the Belledonne and Chartreuse ranges, the city grew as a center of trade, science, and resistance during WWII. The cable cars, known as Les Bulles , link the old town to the Bastille fortress above.
