Max with David and Shirley

Max is with David and Shirley, English missionaries who became close friends during his time in Russia. Behind them rises the west façade of Chartres Cathedral, a 12th–13th cc. Gothic masterpiece. Its twin towers, sculpted portals, and vast rose window embody medieval faith and artistry, earning UNESCO World Heritage status.
