These carved and polychromed choir panel figures (17th c.) show saints of the Franciscan Order. Each figure holds symbolic items: a book, a cross, and folded hands, indicating preaching, sacrifice, and contemplation. Above, cherubic seraphim suggest divine approval, reinforcing the order’s mission of humility and devotion.
