Franciscan Saints

745
This 17th c. sculptural choir panel features three Franciscan saints in humble postures, reflecting themes of humility and sacrifice. Their identical habits, serene expressions, and flat halos emphasize the order’s commitment to equality. The central figure holding a cross evokes St Francis, demonstrating the path of suffering embraced in devotion.
