This mixed-media installation (1996) spreads blue and green plastic sandals across the floor, each fitted with barbed-wire straps to form a dense artificial sea. Capellán uses found shoreline materials to register pollution and social disparity. The work links Caribbean coasts to histories of forced movement, migration, and fragile passage.
