This 15th-century Hispano-Flemish Pietà is an oil and tempera painting on panel with gold pigment. Recent cleaning restored its original color vibrancy, revealing intricate details. Diagnostic tests, including microscopy and UV/IR imaging, assessed damage and guided a respectful restoration process. This careful work enhances the painting’s legibility while preserving its historical and artistic integrity.
