Forest Chapel

Hidden in the wooded grounds of Chenonceau stands a small 15th c. stone chapel, a reminder of medieval devotion. Such chapels offered quiet prayer apart from the château. Its simplicity contrasts with the château’s Renaissance grandeur, evoking cc. when faith shaped both courtly life and the Loire landscape.
