Grenoble Cityscape with Mountain Views
Nestled at the confluence of the Isère and Drac rivers, Grenoble has been called the Capital of the Alps. Surrounded by peaks of the Belledonne and Chartreuse ranges, the city grew as a center of trade, science, and resistance during WWII. The cable cars, known as Les Bulles, link the old town to the Bastille fortress above.
