Gallery of Francis IRosso Fiorentino
The Gallery of Francis I (1530s) at Fontainebleau is one of the first great Renaissance galleries in France. Fiorentino filled its long walls with mythological frescoes framed by elaborate stucco, celebrating the king’s power through allegory. This fusion of Italian Mannerism and French grandeur made the gallery a model for later royal galleries, blending art, propaganda, and architectural splendor.
