Winged Griffin
This griffin, with its curved beak, feathered wings, and powerful limbs, adorns the richly decorated Gundestrup Cauldron (150 BC–1 AD). Blending Celtic and Thracian iconography, the creature evokes divine guardianship and mythic strength. The cauldron’s ornate panels likely served ceremonial or sacrificial purposes.
