Master of Beasts Panel

1051
This dramatic Gundestrup Cauldron panel (150 BC–1 AD) shows a helmeted figure grasping wild felines in each hand, flanked by solar wheel symbols and mythical beasts. His dominant pose evokes a master of animals motif found across Indo-European traditions. Likely a warrior god, charioteer, or shamanic figure, he embodies control over chaos, nature, and divine power.
