Winged Griffin
This silver panel shows a griffin-like creature with lion’s body, raptor claws, and feathered wings. Part of the Gundestrup Cauldron (150 BC–1 AD), it blends Celtic and Thracian styles. Likely used in ritual, the vessel evokes themes of protection, transformation, and otherworldly power in Iron Age Europe.
