Bearded Deity Relief
This silver panel (150 BC–1 AD) shows a bearded deity with piercing eyes, flanked by human figures in ritual poses. Beneath, a rider on a horned beast may suggest shamanic travel or divine power. Scholars debate the god’s identity—Taranis, Esus, or Ogmios—but agree the scene reflects themes of ritual, authority, and sacred presence in Celtic belief.
