Inlaid Wooden Screen Panel
This intricately carved wooden panel (13th–18th cc.) shows a radiating star formed by dark wood and ivory inlay. The design follows girih (interlaced geometric pattern) conventions common in Islamic art while serving within a Coptic church interior. Such screens structured light and sightlines, combining visual order with controlled separation of sacred space.
