Aprakos Gospel
This Greek Gospel Aprakos (1410–20) preserves selected readings for the liturgical year. Its 16th c. gilded cover displays raised reliefs and inset gems that catch the light across the surface. The combination of medieval text and post-Byzantine binding illustrates how sacred books were renewed over time while retaining their devotional authority.
