Trinity Icon

This (14th–15th cc.) Trinity icon from the Kremlin’s Dormition Cathedral blends Byzantine and emerging Russian styles. Inspired by Andrei Rublev’s celebrated Trinity, it shows the three angels visiting Abraham, a symbol of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The work reflects Orthodox theology of unity and love, linking Russian religious art to its Byzantine roots.
