Gare do OrienteSantiago Calatrava
The station shows a wide forecourt framed by sweeping steel arches and a high glass canopy that filters daylight onto the platforms. Built for Expo 1998, it functions as a major interchange for trains, metro, and buses serving eastern Lisbon. Its branching roof structure is often discussed in relation to Calatrava’s interest in organic, tree-like forms.
