Labyrinth of Lucca Cathedral
This marble carving (12th–13th cc.) is embedded in the wall of San Martino Cathedral. It shows the classical labyrinth of Crete, linked to the myth of Theseus and the Minotaur. The Latin inscription beside it refers to the tale, illustrating the spiritual journey toward salvation and the complexities of life’s moral choices.
