Hall of the Grand CouncilAndrea Ceresola
This majestic hall, laid out by Ceresola in the 16th c., was once the seat of Genoa’s ruling council, and thus reflects the grandeur of the Republic’s political power. Its neoclassical ceiling, adorned with Giuseppe Isola’s allegorical fresco (c. 1840), celebrates Genoa’s civic virtues. Monumental chandeliers and sculptural niches enhance the space’s theatrical authority and ceremonial dignity
