Templar Chapel
The 12th-c. Templar Chapel is a rare Romanesque-Gothic remnant of the Knights Templar in Lorraine. Its octagonal plan reflects links to the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Later used by the Hospitallers, it recalls Metz’s role as a spiritual and strategic crossroads in medieval Europe.
