With My Mother Irina at Fontainebleau

This 2016 photo shows Max with his mother Irina in the gardens of Château de Fontainebleau, a royal residence for eight cc. and favored by François I and Napoleon. For Irina, who first arrived in Paris by bus from Russia in 1997 and fell in love with France, this return was deeply special. Together before the palace of monarchs, they share a moment binding family memory to the long arc of French history.
