Museum of TomorrowMuseu do Amanhã
Opened in 2015 on Rio de Janeiro’s revitalized port, the Museum of Tomorrow is a science-and-ideas museum built around a question: what futures do our choices allow? Santiago Calatrava’s white, ribbed building—part ship, part bromeliad—makes sustainability visible through shading fins, water reuse, and energy-saving systems. Inside, climate, technology, and inequality are treated less as topics than as shared responsibilities, and the museum has become a civic symbol of a changing waterfront.
