Kyiv Pechersk Lavra

Max and Luis are at the courtyard of Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, framed by white monastic facades and deep tree shade. Behind them rises a multi-storey church with arched windows, ornate cornices, and clustered gilded domes. Founded as a cave-based Orthodox monastery in 1051, the Lavra became a major pilgrimage center of Kyivan Rus and still shapes Kyiv’s religious landscape.
