Yigal Allon Museum
On the shore of the Sea of Galilee at Kibbutz Ginosar, Yigal Allon Museum links the lake’s landscape to a long human story, from ancient shoreline livelihoods to modern Israel. Named for commander and statesman Yigal Allon (1918–80), it is anchored by the 1st c. Galilee Boat, recovered from the lake’s mud in 1986, a rare survivor of the working craft that fed and connected communities in the era of Jesus. The galleries frame archaeology and regional cultures as lived memory rather than legend.
