Malek Ibn Anas Mosque
This mosque (2003) shows a white rectangular prayer hall crowned by a large central dome and a tall square minaret, rising above a grassy slope. It serves as a major congregational mosque on Byrsa Hill, a site layered with Punic and Roman remains. Its dedication to jurist Malik ibn Anas indicates how contemporary Tunisia links Islamic scholarship to an ancient Mediterranean landscape.
