Southern Masked Weaver Nest
This intricately woven nest, made by a male Southern Masked Weaver, showcases one of the most complex avian engineering feats. Built from strips of grass and reeds, the nest hangs suspended to deter predators. It is not only a shelter but also a courtship display—females inspect the craftsmanship before accepting a mate.
